OMUSUBI QUEST is a place for reflection — on yourself, on others, and on what gives life meaning. When you share part of your inner world with others, you are trusting this community. These Guidelines exist to protect that trust.
These Guidelines apply to everything you share with other users on the Service: cards, shared reflections, comments, reactions, profiles, and community spaces. They form part of the Terms of Service. Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, or account suspension or termination.
1. The Spirit of the Community
- Reflect, don't perform. This is not a place to win an audience. Share what is true for you.
- Witness, don't fix. When someone shares a reflection, you don't need to correct, diagnose, or advise. Acknowledgment is enough.
- Respect the pace of others. Everyone's inner work moves at its own speed. No pressure, no leaderboards of the soul.
2. Respect Others
Not allowed:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation of any person
- Hate speech or discriminatory content targeting race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic
- Shaming or mocking another user's reflections, values, or life circumstances
- Sexually explicit content, or unwanted sexual advances toward other users
- Gratuitous depictions of violence
3. Protect Privacy — Yours and Others'
- Do not share another person's personal information (name, address, contact details, photos, private communications, or identifiable stories) without their consent. This includes people who are not on the Service.
- What is shared in the community stays in the community. Do not screenshot, copy, or republish other users' shared reflections outside the Service without their explicit permission.
- Think before you share your own information. Once shared, you cannot fully control where it goes.
4. Safety and Well-Being
- No content that promotes, glorifies, or instructs self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders. Honest reflection about difficult experiences, including struggles with mental health, is welcome when shared in a non-graphic, non-instructional way oriented toward reflection or recovery.
- If you see content suggesting someone may be at risk of harming themselves or others, report it using the in-app reporting function. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
- No unlicensed advice. Do not present yourself as a medical, mental-health, legal, or financial professional unless you are one, and do not offer diagnosis or treatment to other users. Sharing your own experience is welcome; prescribing to others is not.
- If you are in crisis, please do not rely on the Service. Contact your local emergency number or a crisis line (Japan: Inochi no Denwa 0570-783-556; US: 988; UK: Samaritans 116 123; EU: 112).
5. Be Yourself
- No impersonation of any person, organization, or OMUSUBI QUEST staff.
- No fake accounts, and no operating multiple accounts to evade enforcement.
- AI-generated content presented as your own lived reflection undermines the purpose of this community. If something is AI-generated, don't present it as your personal experience.
6. Keep It Clean
Not allowed:
- Spam, repetitive posting, engagement bait, or pyramid/multi-level marketing
- Unauthorized advertising, solicitation, or self-promotion
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights
- Malware, phishing links, or attempts to manipulate the platform
- Illegal content or content that facilitates illegal acts
7. Invitations
Some features are invitation-based. Do not sell invitations, use them to spam, or invite people in order to harass them.
8. Reporting and Enforcement
- Report content or behavior via the in-app reporting function or support@omusubi.quest. Reports are confidential; we do not reveal who reported.
- What we may do: remove or restrict content, limit features, issue warnings, suspend or terminate accounts. Severity, context, and repeat behavior all matter. For serious violations (threats, illegal content, exploitation), we act immediately and may notify authorities where legally required or where there is imminent risk of serious harm.
- Appeals: if you believe we made a mistake, you may appeal via support@omusubi.quest. We will review and respond. Where applicable law grants you specific complaint or appeal rights, we honor them.
- No retaliation: submitting knowingly false reports, or retaliating against someone for reporting, is itself a violation.
9. Changes
We may update these Guidelines as the community grows. Material changes will be announced in the Service. The "Last Updated" date shows the current version.
