These Subscription Terms supplement the OMUSUBI QUEST Terms of Service and govern paid subscriptions to the Service offered by Eudaimonia Universe JAPAN ("we," "us"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms of Service. If these Subscription Terms conflict with the Terms of Service, these Subscription Terms prevail for subscription matters.
1. Free Tier and Paid Subscription
1.1 Features at Levels 1 through 7 of the Service are currently available free of charge.
1.2 Access to Level 8 and above requires an active paid subscription ("Subscription"). The current plan is the Base Plan: USD 6.99 per month or USD 69.90 per year. Current plans, prices, billing periods, and included features are displayed on the purchase screen at omusubiquest.com before you subscribe; in case of any difference, the purchase screen prevails.
1.3 Progression through levels is based on your engagement with the Service, not the passage of time. Purchasing a Subscription does not by itself advance your level.
2. Ordering and Contract Formation
2.1 Subscriptions are purchased on the web via our payment processor, Stripe. Before you confirm a purchase, we display the plan, price (including applicable taxes), billing period, renewal terms, and cancellation method. The contract is formed when we confirm your order by email or in-app notice.
2.2 You must be 18 or older and have a valid payment method to subscribe.
3. Price and Taxes
3.1 Prices are stated in US Dollars (USD) as shown at checkout. Applicable taxes (Japanese consumption tax, VAT/GST, or sales tax) are included or shown at checkout as required by the law of your jurisdiction.
3.2 We may change Subscription prices prospectively. Price changes take effect no earlier than your next renewal and only after we notify you at least 30 days in advance by email or in-app notice. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect; continued renewal after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
4. Automatic Renewal
4.1 Your Subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) and your payment method is charged at the then-current rate, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
4.2 We will send a reminder before renewal where required by applicable law (and, for annual plans, in any event a reminder at least 30 days before renewal).
5. Cancellation
5.1 You may cancel your Subscription at any time, easily and online, via Settings → Subscription → Cancel in the app or on omusubiquest.com, or by emailing support@omusubi.quest. Cancellation online takes no more steps than sign-up.
5.2 Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access to paid features until then. After expiry, your account reverts to the free tier; your content is not deleted by cancellation.
6. Refunds
6.1 Except as stated in these Subscription Terms or required by applicable law, fees are non-refundable, and no refunds or credits are provided for partial billing periods or unused features.
6.2 EU/EEA and UK consumers — 14-day withdrawal right. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. By starting your Subscription immediately, you request immediate performance of the contract; if you withdraw within the 14-day period, you will receive a refund reduced by a proportionate amount for the period already elapsed. You may exercise withdrawal by contacting support@omusubi.quest. If you expressly consent to full immediate performance and acknowledge that you thereby lose your withdrawal right (where applicable to digital content), that consent will be recorded at checkout.
6.3 Statutory rights. Nothing in this Section limits your statutory rights, including rights and remedies for defective digital services under applicable consumer law (e.g., the EU Digital Content Directive as implemented in your country, or the Consumer Contract Act of Japan).
6.4 Service withdrawal. If we permanently discontinue the Service or remove a core paid feature, we will refund the pro-rata unused portion of prepaid fees (see Terms of Service, Section 15).
7. Trials and Promotional Offers
7.1 Free experience through Level 7. Your use of the Service through Level 7 is free of charge and serves as your trial of the Service. No payment method is required, and nothing converts automatically into a paid Subscription. As you approach the end of Level 7, we will present you with the option to purchase a Subscription; you will only be charged if you explicitly subscribe.
7.2 We may additionally offer promotional pricing or promotional trials from time to time. Eligibility, duration, price, and conditions (including whether a promotional trial converts automatically) will be stated clearly in the offer before you accept it. If a promotional trial converts automatically, we will send a reminder before the first charge.
7.3 One promotional offer per person unless we state otherwise. We may withdraw or modify promotional offers prospectively at any time.
8. Payment Failures
If a renewal charge fails, we may retry the charge and will notify you. If payment is not completed within 14 days, we may suspend paid features until payment is made, and may thereafter cancel the Subscription. We do not charge interest on late consumer payments.
9. Changes to Paid Features
We may improve, modify, or replace paid features, provided the overall functionality of your plan is not materially reduced during a paid period. If we materially reduce your plan's functionality during a period you have paid for, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused portion.
10. Miscellaneous
10.1 Subscriptions are personal and may not be resold or transferred.
10.2 Japanese law applies, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction provisions of the Terms of Service, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections and local jurisdiction rights in your country of residence.
